Bit of info for anyone out there with an MA61 Celica Supra with knackered tailgate struts. Nobody lists these anymore and I had to change mine due to them failing (and causing my tailgate to drop on my head while I was wiring in my subbox, and it f**king hurt like hell), so after borrowing a Kilen catalogue from my friendly local supplier, Car & Truck services in Swindon, and trying a couple of different sets I found that the best fit was the ones fitted on a 1982-1986 Toyota Corolla. They are slightly shorter, 625mm rather than 650mm but only means that the tailgate opens slightly less than it did, they are also 22mm diameter cylinders rather than the OE 18mm but fit nicely and do not foul the tailgate or the body. When I go out in the garage later, I'll post the part number up.

Good to know matey. Luckily (touch wood), mine are fine, they look fairly new front and back.
They already open a good amount, so 25mm isn't going to make a world of difference, unless you're a giant, but would certainly work out better for short people lol.
