ok, so reading up on the ma61, there seems to be alot of aggravation over the lack of steering lock on these things and subsequently causing spin outs whilst drifting, and I find myself wondering what's out there that can help with this?
Does anyone know of any application for modding the steering lock without taking a hacksaw to it! Tie rods or offset rackspacers for example?

If you take out the lock stop bolts on the steering arms then to be honest there's plenty of lock. Rack spacer washers are an option and i could knock up a batch in 1/4 hour on the lathe. But as the steering arms hit the metal lock stops on the lower arms without rack spacers on full lock, you would need to chop off the metal lock stop and move it in closer for rack spacers to work. I've never found a problem with lock after i removed the lock bolts, but when supra people want more, they usually go for Ra60 Celica steering arms as they are about 20mm shorter throw. Picture tells a thousand worlds... If they are a scarce item i may get some new ones lazercut from 22mm EN24T Plate steel. All depends if Business picks up though as it's not exactly on fire at the mo!

Ahhh I didn't realise it was as straight forward tbh. Are the ra60's a direct fit then?
How much extra lock are we talking with the lock stop bolts removed? Sounds fairly straight forward in fairness, can't really understand why people are complaining about lack of lock lol

If you check the top picture there is 20mm less throw on the celica arms. So the rack can go beyond its old limit as the pivot point has changed. And they do cross over if you get the power steering option ones. Non p.s. ones are much different.
As for removing the bolts, i binned mine 3 years ago and i have had no problems at all. i suppose its prob an extra 5 degrees of lock, but it does make the difference.
If you want to go drifting, and get consistant, then you need to address the LSD issue first as it just makes it too unpredictable to gauge steering/ throttle input and after a while it just gets fucking annoying!

Have just come across a great kit that will more than suffice for what I was originally looking for. technotoytuning.com/toyota/ma60/outer-tie-rods-ma60-supraThe outer tie rod kit which also comes with steering knuckles is ideal, and to top it off, they do an RCA kit to combat that annoying bump steer. Great prices too! Any chance of trying to get a group buy going on these in the near future Neil

I can certainly consider it Gaz. It wasn't a massive success with the last group buy i ran, but if people really wanted some T3 stuff, then so long they put the money up front i'd be happy to. I'd love to get an online shop together at some point, but the forum may have to change host's to support it. And, of course it's the big £££ issue

I'm off to pick up my new pride and joy this coming Sunday, I'm losing sleep, that's how excited I am haha.
