I was going to sell the rex, just getting bored and fed up with her, no money to spend on her, she was eating all my money on petrol, and I felt like a change. Especially as she wasn't boosting properly.... ...turns out the actuator arm had come off the wastegate! Now she's boosting from about 2500rpm, and 0.5bar at about 3000rpm, where she now hit's fuel cut Once this is fixed, she'll absolutely shift, and be somewhere around 260bhp! It's very sad, because I want to know what she'll actually do! So that's another problem to sort, but yesterday I plumbed in a manual boost controller and blocked off the stock solenoid pipe. Today = no difference! I'm off to go and adjust the controller now, see if it's different tomorrow.

Awesome! would be a shame to sell it after all the work you've put into it. I can safely say i know sweet fuck all about those spinning triangle things and the witchcraft surrounding how they work so as much as i'd love to offer advice on how to fix it i'm afraid your better off figuring it out without me!
Oh, if it's a manual boost controller i did fit one on the old s13 the wrong way round and it just went to infinate boost, went mega fast, but kicked into fuel cut. does it respond to adjustment or just go off the guage?

Haha, I made sure I fitted it the right way round! Googled images and everyting Yeah, set it up to 0.4 bar boost now (lucky guess), but ideally want it at 0.7bar or so, to actually get good power. Probably still putting out 230bhp right now though! Got some checks and stuff to do, then I will try upping it to see if she keeps cutting.
