Sweet If i still have job at the end of the week (made redundant yeaterday) this ll be a must have. Also there's a bloke on cs.om that makes uprated crush sleeves for the pinion gear I'm sure you could get your machinist to knock a few up.

Ok, update! I e mailed spence from weir performance a few weeks ago about getting some sets for you guys and this is his reply... copied from my hotmail account. Neil, I am sure we can work something out for you on 10 sets. Do you hvae a business with a website or is this something you are going to offer through your forum? Also, we are just about out of the supra kits and are out of stock on the AE86 kits. We will be making more for both and should have them ready end of july. Sincerely, SPENCE WEIR Weir Performance Engr., LLC 707-315-6638 --- On Sat, 6/18/11, neil walker <spoon4130@hotmail.co.uk> wrote: From: neil walker <spoon4130@hotmail.co.uk> Subject: Ordering from you To: spence_weir@sbcglobal.net Date: Saturday, June 18, 2011, 1:11 PM Hi there, My names Neil walker and i run a new forum in the u.k called driftoy. driftoy.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=tech&action=display&thread=67Im very interested in the max grip products your making for f series diffs in particular, and just wanted to ask you if you'd be interested in doing some business with me? I'd like to order a few sets and supply them to my members, and i fully understand if you wont do any group buy discounts, We just want to give your product a go! We have nothing over here that comes close to what your offering, so if you fancy some oversea's coverage for your product please let me know as im gagging to get ordering! Probably be in the reigon of 10 sets to start off just so you know. Many thanks for your time, Neil so, as from july we are good to go, prices to be announced when we both do the sums but, if you guys want anything from weir please let me know and i'll find out stock availability and if your serious and want to put down a deposit then it can happen. i'd much rather i get a big order together rather than loads of little ones as it will work out cheaper with shipping ect.. Also, i have now found a very experienced guy local to me who is happy to rebuild members diffs and he is friends with a lot of local stock car racers who i know, so will do us a good deal on rebuilds. Therefore, i am also happy to announce that when these parts arrive i can supply a full rebuild service possibly on an exchange basis. (dependant on condition of your diffs)

I'll take a set good man, Expect august as shpiing from the u.s.a and customs will probably take a week or so. I will probably ask for payment around end of july but will keep everyone informed on final cost. would you like to fit the kit yourself or would you like it rebuilt by my man? Also, what car is it for?

looks like a decent kit Neil, I see you installed this recently, any update of how well it locks for drifting?
I noticed they do a locking/drift kit aswell, not sure if these would fit though?

looks like a decent kit Neil, I see you installed this recently, any update of how well it locks for drifting? I noticed they do a locking/drift kit aswell, not sure if these would fit though? I haven't fitted the kit yet Gaz, I only dismantled my diff at the weekend but you bet your ass this kit will transform the diff. Tbh i was pretty amazed that the OE LSD does anything seeing as it's missing whats essentially 2 clutch packs from it's drive! Toyota left out the vital parts as it didn't want loads of legal cases put against them for selling an overly Tail happy car to the wider audience. So balls to that idea! Also, the only thing locking the original kit is the friction between the cross shaped friction plate and the back face of the gear so prelonged use will wear out the internals till the diff is junk. It's a Good idea to buy the weir kit just for peace of mind really as it allows the diff to function how it was originally designed. By using the splines to drive the circular clutch plates in locking the wheels together rather than slowly destroying the gears to lock them, which is very unpredictable for Motorsport as well as pretty pointless due to the diff being designed to have them in the first place. The Back face of my gears was pitted and mashed upon removal from being the clutch face/ main friction point instead of the missing clutches sandwiched between the 2 cross shaped friction plates. Don't think as a weir Maxgrip kit as a simple upgrade, More it's putting right a wrong that should have been a warranty issue! These diff's got denied the clutches that should've been fitted and how Toyota got around the issue was a bit of a shit one.

That's savage mate. Toyota obviously pulled a woppa on that one and done us right out of an essential piece of kit lol. Good to see that there is actually an affordable solution rather than spending a mint on a kaaz. This weir kit is defo going on the priority shopping list! and also got my eye on a few other parts they sell too
