hi im Martyn i own a celica supra with my mate Dan. we got it to do some skids and not be botherd about denting it so its a bit rusy in some places only bad thing was the cam belt snapped lucky the engine was fine , put on a new belt and was sorted After takeing it to essex arena sat night we have worked out what needs to be done lock lower power is ok as they wet the track vid so now looking for lock mods and springs

welcome to driftoy martin and thanks for joining! Good little video of essex there, cheers. If your a dab hand with a bit of fabrication/ welding you can do some cheap and good mods to sort out the supra's handling. The worst thing they suffer from is spinning when you flick them, the best solution is anti roll bars, but since your on a budget think about making some sliding clamps like these. You can then shorten the radius of the bars, thus making it much stiffer ;D After that, 2" rally design/ demon tweeks coilover sleeves, some 400-450lb x 9" long springs and decent sw20 mr2 rear dampers will be good, but you'll need to cut 40mm out of the strut tube as you run out of travel pretty quick on standard length dampers and will either have to get the top internally tapped, or cut and shut , as you need to keep the threads to hold the dampers down. S13 topmounts will bolt on, but the holes are ofset 30 deg or so, This works well for me, as it also puts in a meaty ammount of caster into the equasion, so the steering centres back nicely. Rears you can just get away with chopping a coil or two out of the springs and using something like bmw e36/ ford focus uprated rear dampers. Dont go mad though, as you get some pretty mental camber on the back if you go more than 40-50mm leaving you with half a tyres width of road contact and its not an easy fix and will lead to more toe than you can dial out with the factory adjustment cams. If you wanted to really go for it, theres a lot of other options like using decent coilovers from a s13, Depends on how far you wanna push it tbh. Strut braces are also a good move as these cars are pretty flexy being 26 years old, in fact, triangulating everything you can together will definatly improve things. Sky's the limit, but it's a bit more "man in shed" than clicking checkout in the driftworks shop.!

thanks a lot some very good info and im all about " man in the shed" have never got a garage to do any work on any of my cars ,
dan has some old coilovers from somthing so we mite have a play around with them
allso going to try make somthing to move the steering arm closer to the hub for more lock

Good man, right attitude there , If you do have some s13 coilovers kicking about, hold fort, as im just about to release a few products, namely, some weld on internally threaded strut tubes, which will allow you to use 1.5mm pitch thread coilovers on the front. Will be made of high quality seamless CDS steel and retail at £90 a pair. Will be a tig welding service provided for an extra £30 Steering radius arms is the next product on the list, along with the now comically overdue 45mm RCA spacers to get rid of the bump steer after lowering.
